In accordance with the provisions of the Law No. 5312 on emergency response and compensation of damages for pollution of the sea environment “and relevant legislation, gisaş shipbuilding industry Co., which is an authorized intervention company and takes charge of Emergency Response Plan organization with the participation of the personnel in the shipyards and UN Ro Ro emergency response plans in Tuzla shipyards.S. “preparing for sea pollution and emergency response” was carried out by the Ministry of environment and forestry.
According to the scenario; the SAFFET Ulusoy ship entering from the port of UN RO Ro and the GULIT Turkish dry ship Tuzla Aydınlı Bay entrance of GISAŞ were conflicted and as a result of the accident caused by the machine failure on the Turkish dry boat, Kemal dry boat was injured by the sea engine spill.
As a result of the findings, it was decided to close the 200 meter fence type barrier and cutek mouth and to close the 100 meter fence type barrier around the GISAŞ Pier and to collect the pollution with the help of skimmer and sorbent materials by closing the dry (gisaş VIII trailer) vessel around it and controlling the spill of the engine. The application has been terminated by referring to the collection of pollution and sending it to the licensed disposal company authorized by the Ministry of Environment and urbanization.
Gisaş will continue to serve in Tuzla Aydınlı Bay with the aim of contributing to cleaner seas and a cleaner environment.
Tuzla aydınlı Bay, which was organized by GISAŞ and is the tenth largest, was also attended by Tuzla Harbour presidency, Marmara and Straits Coast Security Regional Command, and the General Directorate of Coastal Safety. As a result of the exercise, the adequacy of the personnel to follow the instructions received by the personnel during the operation and to use the equipment has been re-evaluated.
